k RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH,
CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF
PORTIONS OF POWER STREET AND 20TH STREET AS HEREIN DESCRIBED,
IN SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HEP11OSA BEACH,
CALIFORNIA, IN REGULAR SESSION ASSE11BLED, DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOI'-yS :
SECTION 1. That pursant to the provisions of
apters 1, 2, 3 and 5, Part 3 of the Streets and Highways Code,
Sections'8300 to 8325, inclusive, and Sections 8340 to 8349,
inclusive, the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach,
California, does hereby declare its intention to vacate those
portions of Power Street and 20th Street desribed as follows and
3elineated on the map attached hereto marked Exhibit "A" and by
this reference made a part hereof:
Power Street (40 feet wide) as shown on map of Tract
No. 15546 recorded in Book 334, page 34, of Maps,
Records of the Recorder of Los Angeles County,
California, and as shown on map of P. McNerny's
Replat of Lot 12 of Block 71 of the Second Addition
to Hermosa'i3each recorded in Book 10, page 52,
of Maps, Records of said Recorder and adjoining the
Southwesterly lines of Lots 28 through 35, inclusive,
and Lots 38 and 39 of said Tract No. 15546; TOGETHER
WITH that portion of 20th Street (formerly Bixby Drive,
40 feet wide) as shown on said maps, lying Southwes-
terly of the Southeasterly prolongation of the North-
easterlyhl:inetof Lot 1 of Tract No. 1868, as shown on
map thereof recorded in Book 26, page 21, of Maps,
Records of said Recorder.

Ihour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. is the day and the hour, and the
ouncilChamber of the City Hall of the City of Hermosa Beach is
he place fixed by the City Council when and where any and all
ersons wishing to be heard regarding the proposed vacation may
ppear before the Council and show cause why said street should
r should not be vacated as herein proposed.

SECTION 3. That the Director of Public Works of
the City of Hermosa Beach shall cause notices of the adoption
of this resolution and the proposed vacation of said street
to be conspicuously posted along the line of the street or
part thereof proposed to be vacated, which notices shall be
not more than 300 feet apart, shall be at least three in number,
and shall state the time and place of the hearing on said
matter before the City Council. The City Clerk shall cause
this resolution to be published at least once in the Easy
Reader, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published
and circulated in the City of Hermosa Beach, at least
fifteen days prior to said hearing.
SECTION 4. That the City Council, pursuant to Sections
8340 and 8341 of the Streets and Highways Code, may find and
determine that the public convenience and necessity require
the reservation and exception of a permanent easement from
said vacation for any existing public utilities and public
service -facilitiestogether-with the —right to maintain, -operate,
replace, remove, or renew such facilities.

All proceedings for the vacation of said streets shall be
taken subject to the reservation and exception hereinabove
in this section set forth.
