HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES-98-5911 (TRAFFIC SIGNAL LOCATIONS)I RESOLUTION NO. 98-5911 2UNCIL OF TE CITY OF A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY O SHING TRAF IC SIGNAL HERM LOCATIONS BEACH, 3 CALIFORNIA, ESTABL 4 5 WHEREAS, the City of Hermosa Beach Municipal Code, Section 10.16.010 titled 6 "Authority to Install" allows the listing of official traffic -control devices by Council Resolution; 7 and, 8 WHEREAS, an engineering review has been performed in order to identify a complete 9 listing of traffic -control devices. 10 11 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA 12 BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 13 SECTION 1. The following locations are established as Traffic Signal Controlled 14 1 Intersections in the City of Hermosa Beach and are maintained by the City of Hermosa Beach: 15 1. Hermosa Avenue and Herondo; 16 2. Hermosa Avenue and 2nd Street; 17 3, Hermosa Avenue and I Ith Street; 18 4. Hermosa Avenue and Pier Avenue; 19 5. Hermosa Avenue and 13th Street 20 6, Hermosa Avenue and 14th Street; 21 7 Aviation Boulevard and Prospect Avenue; 22 23 8. 9, Aviation Boulevard and Ocean Drive; Prospect Avenue and Hermosa View Elementary School (between 18th and 19th 24 25 26 Streets); and, 10. Valley Drive and Hermosa Valley School (between 17th Street and Pier Avenue). The following locations are established as Traffic Signal Controlled Intersections in the City 27 of Hermosa Beach and are maintained by the California Department Of Transportation (Caltrans): 28 11. Pacific Coast Highway and 2nd Street; 4- 1 12. Pacific Coast Highway and 5th Street; 2 13. Pacific Coast Highway and 8th Street; 3 14. Pacific Coast Highway and Aviation Boulevard; 4 15. Pacific Coast Highway and Pier Avenue; 5 16. Pacific Coast Highway and 21 st Street; 6 17. Pacific Coast Highway and Artesia Boulevard; 7 18, Pacific Coast Highway and Longfellow Avenue; 8 19. Artesia Boulevard and Prospect Avenue; and, 9 20. Artesia Boulevard and Harper Avenue. 10 11 SECTION 2. That this Resolution shall become effective upon adoption. 12 SECTION 3.
