HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 14-6907 (COMPENSATION CITY CLERK)1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 14-6907 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE COMPENSATION TO BE RECEIVED BY THE CITY CLERK WHEREAS, additional and lengthier City Council meetings over the past year, along with demands on staff time due to the proposed oil drilling project, which will be decided by a vote of the people, have created a backlog in the Office of the City Clerk; and WHEREAS, a temporary change from part-time to full-time status is necessary to enable the City Clerk to accommodate the significant increase in the workload and perform the duties required. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That pursuant to Section 2.72.050 of the City of Hermosa Beach Municipal Code, the compensation of the City Clerk shall be fixed by resolution of the City Council. SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall receive an additional monthly salary equal to the City Clerk's regular monthly salary, payable semi-monthly at the same time and in the same manner as the salaries paid to each of the officers and employees of the City, commencing July 1, 2014, and continuing through December 31, 2014. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, shall enter the same in the book of original Resolutions.
