RESOLUTION NO. 19-7221
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA
BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE NOVEMBER 5, 2019 GENERAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION RESULTS FOR THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH
AS PRESENTED TO THE CITY COUNCIL ON NOVEMBER 18, 2019 AS
FINAL AND THE ELECTION OFFICIALLY CONCLUDED AS DECLARED
BY THE LOS ANGELES BOARD OF SUPERVISORS ON NOVEMBER 19,
2019
WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election was held and conducted in the City of
Hermosa Beach, California, on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, as required by law; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 19-7189 adopted June 11, 2019, the County
Election Department canvassed the returns of the election and certified the results to the City
Council, and on Monday, November 18, 2019, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 19-
7219 declaring the results of the General Municipal Election for the City of Hermosa Beach; and
WHEREAS, at its meeting on November 19, 2019, the Los Angeles County Board of
Supervisors unanimously approved the Certificate of the Canvass of the Election Returns for the
Local and Municipal Elections held in Los Angeles County on November 5, 2019 and the
Certificate of Write -In Votes and the Final Official Election Returns, which are attached and
made a part hereof as "Exhibit A."
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA
BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DOES DECLARE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The November 5, 2019 General Municipal Election results for the City of
Hermosa Beach, as presented to City Council on November 18, 2019, are final and the Local
and Municipal Elections held in Los Angeles County on November 5, 2019 are officially
concluded as called by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on November 19, 2019.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this
resolution and enter it into the book of original Resolutions.
