RESOLUTION NO. 20-7263
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE
CONSTRUCTION OF THE DOWNTOWN HERMOSA BEACH
TEMPORARY LANE RECONFIGURATION PROJECT
PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTIO 830.6 AND
ESTABLISHING A PROJECT PAYMENT ACCOUNT.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
The City Council finds and declares as follows:
The City’s Traffic Engineering Consultant designed and prepared the plans to construct
the Downtown Hermosa Beach Temporary Lane Reconfiguration (“Project”);
The Deputy City Engineer finds that the plans are complete, and the Project may be
constructed; and
The City Council wishes to obtain the immunities set forth in Government Code § 830.6
with regard to the plans and construction of the Project.
Design Immunity; Authorization.
The design and plans for the Project are determined to be consistent with the City’s
standards and are approved;
The design approval set forth in this Resolution occurred before actual work on the
Project construction commenced;
The approval granted by this Resolution conforms with the City’s General Plan;
The City Engineer, or designee, is authorized to act on the City’s behalf in approving any
alterations or modifications of the design and plans approved by this Resolution; and
The approval and authorization granted by this Resolution is intended to avail the City of
the immunities set forth in Government Code § 830.6.
Project Payment Account.
For purposes of the Contract Documents administering the Project, the City establishes an
account containing sufficient monies from the current and following fiscal year budget to

pay for the Project. This Account is the sole source of funds available for the Contract
Sum, as defined in the Contract Document administering the Project.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution; shall cause the
same to be entered among the original Resolutions of said City; and shall make minutes of
the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said
City in the minutes of the meeting in which the same is passed and adopted.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 27th day of October, 2020.

I, Eduardo Sarmiento, City Clerk of the City of Hermosa Beach do hereby certify that the
above and foregoing Resolution 20-7263 was duly approved and adopted by the City
Council of said City at its regular meeting thereof held via teleconference on the
27th day of October, 2020 and passed by the following vote.
