RESOLUTION P.C. 83-33
A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
HERMOSA BEACH TO CONSIDER AMENDING THE ZONING CODE, SECTION 11.5,
OFF STREET PARKING TO INCLUDE A PROVISION FOR ON STREET PARKING
SPACES LOST DUE TO CURB CUTS AND/OR DRIVEWAYS.
WHEREAS, the availability of parking spaces is a major concern in the City of
Hermosa Beach; and
WHEREAS, the zoning code contains no requirement that on-street parking spaces
lost due to curb cuts be replaced (with exception of subdivisions); and
WHEREAS, this discrepancy has been recently demonstrated and has resulted in
two on-street parking spaces being lost for a single family residence, now being
developed as a five unit condominium located at 166 Hermosa Avenue, without such
spaces being replaced on-site.
NOW, THEREFORE, The Planning Commission of Hermosa Beach does hereby declare
its intention to hold a public hearing to consider amending the zoning code, Section
l 1.5,Off Street Parking to include a provision for on-street parking spaces lost due to
curb cuts and/or ddveways.
