RESOLUTION B.Z.A. 154-460 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENTS OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH GRANTING A MODIFICATION TO EXISTING CONDI- TIONAL USE PERMIT ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 16 -14TH STREET, HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, the Board of Zoning Adjustments of the City of Hermosa Beach, at a public hearing held on May 17, 1982, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, reviewed the existing conditional use permit: for -16 - 14th Street (L,a : Playita Restaurant.) due to an expansion into the neighboring property at 1340 Strand, and reviewed the existing condi- tional use permit for a take-out window at that address; and WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the applicant stated that he had cut an archway between the two businesses to expand his restaurant and he planned to continue the use of the take-out window; and NOW,: THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Zoning Adjustments of the City of Hermosa Beach does hereby approve an amended conditional use permit combining tbe conditions of Resolutions PC 154-1086, PC 154-1115 and BZA 154-405, as follows: 1. Service of alcoholic beverages shall be in an establishment that operates a full kitchen and provides a full menu (complete lunches and/or dinners, with hot entrees) and the primary purpose of the establishment is service of food. 2. Alcoholic beverages shall be served in permanent glass containers only. 3 . All alcoholic beverages shall be consumed within the premise, and none may be taken out or served through the take-out window. 4. Hours of operation to ,be from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. 5. No admission, or service of alcohol, to anyone on skates. 6. If, in the judgment of the Police Department, it is deemed necessary, two policemen will be assigned as doormen at the business' expense during hours of operation. 7. Posting of sign inside advising illegality of open containers on public streets, sidewalks, Strand and beach. 8. Provide scre~ns on exterior windows to insure no pass thru of ·alcoholic beverages. 9. A trash container be maintained adjacent to the take-out window. 10. A hose bib be provided in the vicinity of the window and that the sidewalk/walkway be hosed down on a daily basis. 11. The sidewalk/walkway in front of the business will be kept clean and free of litter at all times. That if the area becomes littered or dirty and is not immediately cleaned by the business, the City may clean the area and charge the business for the costs of such service. -Continued - PAGE 2 -RESOLUTION B.Z.A. 154-460 16 -14TH STREET 12. That the business will be responsible to manage any line of people at the window so that it is orderly, and that it does not obstruct pedestrian traffic. 13. If any one of the above conditions is not observed, the condi- tional use pe1rmit shall become void. 14. Subject to review in one year. VOTE: AYES: Comms. DeBellis, Ebey, Williams, Chmn. Cutler, Toth, Moore CERTIFICATION I hereby certifr that the foregoing Resblution BZA 154-460 was adopted by the Board of Zoning Adjustments of the City of Hermosa Beach at a regular meeting held on the 17th day of May, 1982.
