A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENTS OF THE CITY
OF HERMOSA BEACH GRANTING A MODIFICATION OF VARIANCE B.Z.A.
154-429 ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 218 EIGHTH STREET, HERMOSA
BEACH, CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the Board of Zoning Adjustments of the :i City of Hermosa Beach,
at a public hearing held on July 19, 1982, in the Council Chambers of
the City Hall, considered the .request of Mr. Michael Updike for a modi-
fication of his earlier approval in BZA 154-429 to increase his addi-
tion by one additional bedroom; on property legally described as East
47.5' of Lot 16, Block B, Tract 860; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing~ the Board reviewed the earlier approval
to add two bedrooms and a bath to a single family residence with non-
conforming front, rear and side yards and to maintain th~ same setbacks
with the addition; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, no one appeared to speak in opposition
to the request; and
WHEREAS, after due consideration, it is the opinion of the Board of
Zoning Adjustments that the modification to the existing permit is
justified for the same reasons expressed in Resolution BZA 154-429;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that in view of the above, the Board of
Zoning Adjustments does hereby grant a modification to variance request
BZA 154-429 by the following vote:
AYES: Comms. Cutler, DeBellis, Merrill, Williams, Chmn. Moore
NOES: None
ABSNET: Comms. Ebey, Toth
CERTIFICATION
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution BZA 154-469 was adopted
by the Board of Zoning Adjustments at a regular meeting held on the 19th
day of July, 1982.
