A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENTS OF THE CITY
OF HERMOSA BEACH GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW
THE OPERATION OF A TENNIS PROP SHOP IN A TRAILER AT 710 PIER
AVENUE, HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the Board of Zoning Adjustments of the City of Hermosa Beach,
at a public hearing held on August 16, 1982, in the Council Chambers
of the City Hall, considered the request of Mr. David Mahoney for per-
mission to operate a tennis pro shop ~n a trailer and to operate and
manage all of the tennis facilities located at the Community Cente.r,
legally described as Lots 1-20, Block 79, 2nd Add. to H.B. Tract and
Lot 1, Block 78, 2nd Add. to H.B. Tract; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the Board heard testimony from the
applicant that all of the proposed conditions were acceptable to him;
and
WHEREAS, the proposed conditional use permit is in conformance with
the area's zoning and general plan designation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Zoning Adjustments
of Hermosa Beach does hereby approve a conditional use permit for the
operation of a tennis pro shop from a trailer at the Hermosa Beach
Community Center located at 710 Pier Avenue, subject to the following
conditions:
1. The City shall have the option to terminate the Agreement at any
time for Contractor's non-compliance of Agreement.
2. The hours of operation shall be 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
3. The Contractor shall comply with Hermosa Beach Municipal Code and
all City ordinances.
4. Contractor shall provide a full tennis program as outlined in the
Agreement.
5. 70% of all court time shall be open to the public. Contractor
shall use no more than two courts at any one time for lessons.
6. The name of the operation shall be: "HERMOSA BEACH TENNIS CENTER".
7. The contractor shall have posted inside the pro shop the maximum
allowable occupancy of the trailer.
8. Skirting shall be provided for the trailer.

CERTIFICATION
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution BZA 154-482 was adopted
by the Board of Zoning Adjustments at a regular meeting held on the
16th day of August, 1982.
