HomeMy WebLinkAboutBZA 154-49RESOLUTION: BZA 154-49 NAME: SUNNYGLEN CONSTRUCTION COMPANY LOCATION: SW CORNER HERMOSA AVENUE & SECOND STREET TO GRANT: CONSTRUCTION OF A TEMPORARY SIGN ON SW CORNER OF HERMOSA AVENUE AND SECOND STREET A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENTS OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH GRANTING A VARIANCE WHICH WOULD PERMIT OFF-SITE SUBDIVISION DIRECTIONAL SIGN FOR A PROPOSED CONDOMINIUM.; SIGN TO BE LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF HERMOSA AVENUE AND SECOND STREET: LEGALLY DESCRIBED AS EAST PART OF LOT 8, BLOCK 2, HERMOSA BEACH TRACT, HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA. THE BOARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENTS OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, there was filed with this Board under the provisions of Ordinance N.S. 154, an application for a variance by Sunnyglen Construction Company upon property owned by Paul G. Marinkovich and located at southwest corner Hermosa Avenue and Second Street, legally described as East part of Lot 8, Block 2, Hermosa Beach, California, and WHEREAS, the Board of Zoning Adjustments of the City of Hermosa Beach did on July 19, 1971, conduct a public hearing to consider this application for a variance which would permit off-site subdivision directional sign for a proposed condominium, said sign to be 6 ft. x 16 ft., and WHEREAS, at said public hearing, there was presented written and oral testimony on the property described as follows: East part of Lot 8, Block 2, Hermosa Beach Tract, known as Southwest corner of Hermosa Avenue and Second Street, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that in view of the findings at said ,hearing, the Board of Zoning Adjustments does hereby grant this variance for the following reasons: 1. The requested variance will not be detrimental to surrounding property owners. 2. There will be no conflict with the comprehensive general plan. AND FURTHER, that this variance is granted with the following stipulations: I. The sign will be no higher than 18 ft. above grade to bottom of sign. 2. A time 1 imit of one year be set, with no extensions to be granted. The foregoing Resolution BZA 154-49 was adopted by the Board of Zoning Adjustments at a regular meeting held July 19, 1971, by the following vote: AYES: Comms. Alton, Basila, Williams NOES: Chairman Ostermann ABSENT: Comm. Schubert CERTIFICATION I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution BZA 154-49 was adopted by the Board of Zoning Adjustments of the City of Hermosa Beach at a regular meeting held on this I 9th day of Ju 1 y , 1 971 .
