RESOLUTION· P .C. 82-17
A resolution of the Planning Commission of
Hermosa Beach approving and recommending
to the City Council of Hermosa Beach amend-
ments to the General Pion Land Use Element
relating to mobile home park uses in the City.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of Hermosa Beach held a public hear-
ing on June 15, 1982 to consider certain amendments to the Land Use
Element of the General Plan relating to mobile home park uses in the
City; and
WHEREAS, having heard public testimony to the desirability of enacting
amendments to the Land Use Element of the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the amendments to the Land Use Element of the General Plan
serve to achieve the objectives of the Local Coastal Plan and the inten-
tions of the Housing Element;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of
Hermosa Beach hereby approves and recommends to the City Council of
Hermosa Beach the following amendments to the Land Use Element of
the General Plan:
1. The addition of a residential land use classification to encompass
mobile home parks, as follows:
Mobile Home Parks: Uses in this category are limited to.
areas or tracts of land where two or more mobile home
lots are rented or leased to accommodate mobile homes
used for human habitation. The permitted dwelling units
per net acre is the existing density of mobile home parks
which are designated MHP by the Land Use Element Map.
The intent and purpose of this residential land use cate-
gory is to preserve the housing alternatives presently
available to the citizens of Hermosa Beach and thereby
contribute to a diversity of housing types to meet the
needs of the community.
2. The addition to the Land Use Element Map of an appropriate
U designating symbol to denote mobile home park use.
