Pledge of Allegiance 2. Roll Call Section I Consent Calendar Planning Commissioner wishing to pull an item from below may do so at this time. 3. Approval of July 3 and July 17, 1990 minutes 4. Approval of (a) Resolution P.C. 90-51 approving a conditional Use Permit and Vesting Tentative Parcel Map #22256 for a 2-unit con- dominium at 610 11th Street. (b) Resolution P.C. 90-52 approving a Conditional Use Permit and Vesting Tentative Parcel Map #22062 for a 4-unit con- dominium at 1634 Prospect Avenue. (c) Resolution P.C. 90-53 approving a variance to allow a second story addition to a nonconforming single-family dwelling with a substandard size parking stall at 1781 Val- ley Park Avenue. (d) Resolution P.C. 90-55 approving Conditional Use Permit and Vesting Tentative Parcel Map #21787 for a 2-unit condomini- um at 952 8th Street. (e) Resolution P.C. 90-56 approving a Conditional Use permit and Vesting Tentative Parcel Map #22216 for a 2-unit con- dominium at 830 Cypress Avenue. (f) Resolution P.C. 90-59 denying a request for exception, pur- suant to Section 13-7(c)(3) to continue a nonconforming sideyard up to the second story at 1781 Valley Park Avenue. - 1 - Section II Communications 5. Anyone wishing to address the Commission regarding a matter not related to a public hearing on the agenda may do so at this time. Section III Public Hearings 6. PARK 90-4 --Parking Plan amendment for shared parking to allow an aerobic studio at 1310 -1314 Pacific Coast Highway (con- tinued from July 17, 1990 meeting). Recommended Action: This project was withdrawn by the applicant. 7. CUP 90-8/PARK 90-6 Conditional Use Permit amendment and Parking Plan to expand existing cafe for dinner & cocktail ser- vice, and to include 1 ive entertainment and dancing at 1018 Hermosa Avenue, Comedy Magic Club, and adoption of a Environ- mental Negative Declaration. Recommended Action: To approve said Conditional Use Permit amendment and Parking Plan to allow the expansion of the cafe and to allow limited entertainment but no dancing & adopt a Environmental Negative Declaration. 8. CUP 90-20/PARK 90-5 --Conditional Use Permit and Parking Plan for health and fitness facility with retail at 1106 Hermosa Avenue, and adoption of a Environmental Negative Declaration~ Recommended Action: To approve said Conditional Use Permit and Parking Plan & adopt an Environmental Negative Declaration. 9. SS 90-5 --Special study and proposed text amendment to add installation of car stereo and car alarms with Conditional Use Permit to C-3 permitted use list, and adoption of the Environ- mental Negative Declaration. Recommended Action: To recommend approval of said text amendment. 10. TEXT 90-5 --Text amendment to allow outdoor display in commer- cial zones. Recommended Action: amendment. Recommended Action: To direct staff as deemed appropriate. - 2 - 12. Rescission of the approval of a new electronic marquee at the Community Center. Recommended Action: To rescind said approval. 13. Resolution of intention to study a text amendment regarding sideyard exception. Recommended Action: To set for public bearing. 14. Third quarter General Plan amendments: a) Selected General Plan/zoning inconsistent areas east of Pacific Coast Highway. b) Draft revision of Housing Element. c) Parks and Recreation Master Plan changes referred by the City Counci 1. Recommended Action: To set for public hearings. Section V 15. Staff Items a. Memorandum regarding workshop meeting between Planning Com- mission and department heads. b.
