Pledge of Allegiance 2. Introduction of Commissioner Edmund Aleks by Planning Director 3. Roll Call Section I Consent Calendar Planning Commissioner wishing to pull an item from below may do so at this time. 4. Approval of September 18, 1990 minutes 5. Approval of (a) Resolution P.C. 90-33 approving a Conditional Use Permit for off-sale beer and wine & adoption of a Negative Decla- ration at 302 Pier Avenue, Simpson's Market. (b) Resolution P.C. 90-58 denying a Conditional Use Permit for on-sale beer and wine in conjunction with a restaurant at 1433 Hermosa Avenue, J.B. Burgers. (c) Resolution P.C. 90-75 recommending amending the Housing Element of the General Plan by adding "The 1989-1994 Revi- sion to the Housing Element", as revised, as a general policy statement and adoption of a Negative Declaration. (d) Resolution P.C. 90-77 denying a Conditional Use Permit and Precise Development Plan to allow an auto body shop at 1081-1085-1087 Aviation Boulevard, European Body Shop. (e) Resolution P.C. 90-79 approving a Conditional Use Permit to allow the remodel and addition to a unit within a 4-unit condominium approved at 44 7th Street. (£) Resolution P.C. 90-80 approving a Conditional Use Permit to allow on-sale general alcohol in conjunction with a res- taurant and Negative Declaration at 11 Pier Avenue, Mermaid Restaurant. - 1 - Section II Communications 6. Anyone wishing to address the Commission regarding a matter not related to a public hearing on the agenda may do so at this time. Section III Public Hearings 7. CUP 90-15 --Conditional Use Permit amendment to extend allowed entertainment hours to include 9:00 p.m. to 1:15 a.m. on week- days and 2:00 p.m. to 1:15 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays & adoption of an Environmental Negative Declaration at 8 Pier Avenue, Hennessey's Tavern (continued from September 18, 1990 meeting). Recommended Action: To approve said Conditional Use Permit amendment except that entertainment shall not begin until 7:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays. 8. CUP 90-5 --Conditional Use Permit for off-sale general al- coholic beverages and Negative Declaration at 1031 Hermosa Avenue, Golden Lion Liquor (continued from June 5, September 4 and September 18 meetings). Recommended Action: To approve said Conditional Use Permit and adopt the Environmental Negative Declaration. 9. CUP 90-9 --Conditional Use Permit for beer and wine in con- junction with a restaurant and adoption of an Environmental Negative Declaration at 1605 Pacific Coast Highway, Mrs. Garcia's. Recommended Action: To approve said Conditional Use Permit and adopt the Environmental Negative Declaration. 10. CON 90-14 --Conditional Use Fermi t and Tentative Parcel Map #22342 for a two-unit condominium at 655 Sixth Street. Recommended Action: To approve said Conditional Use Permit and Tentative Parcel Map. 11. TEXT 90-8 Text amendment to add "motorcycle sales" and "motorcycle parts sales" or to eliminate "motorcycle repair" on the commercial permitted use list and adoption of an Environ- mental Negative Declaration. Recommended Action: To recommend approval of said text amend- ment to add "motorcycle sales" and "motorcycle parts sales" subject to Conditional Use Permit to commercial permitted use list and adoption of an Environmental Negative Declaration. 12. SS 90-6 --Text amendment regarding nonconforming side yard exception and adoption of an Environmental Negative Declaration. Recommended Action: To recommend approval of said text amend- ment and adoption of an Environmental Negative Declaration. - 2 - Section IV Hearing 13.
