A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA
BEACH GRANTING A ZONE VARIANCE UPON CERTAIN .PROPERTY LOCATED ON
34TH STREE.T IN THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH i CALIFORNIA
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH does hereby resolve as
follows:
WBElEAS, there was filed with this. Commission, under the pro:visiosn of
Ordinance N. s. 154, application for zone variance by c. M. and Grace Bingham
upon property owned by the applicants and located at 123-34th Street; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission ~f the City of Hennosa Beach did on
March 13, 1961, conduct a public hearing to consider this application to
p~rmit construction of a 720 sq. ft~ dwelling having .42' westerly sideyard
and 2.25' rear. yard over an existing 3.-car garage, existing structure having
1. 75' westerly sideyard, 2.25' rear yard and less than 22' turning radius •
into garages ( second unit to. be attached to garage apartment in near future),
on that property described as follows:
Lot 7, Block 101, ,Shakespeare Tract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT REVOLVED that, in view of the findings at said
hearing, the Planning Commission does hereby grant this zone variance with
the provision that the northerly setback be 2.25' in lieu of required 31 ;
the westerly sideyard to be in line with the now nonconforming front wall
of the existing garage; that the 22' turning radius into the garage
requirement be waived for the development of this· property, and that all
other requirements of the z.oning ordinance be met, for the reason that it
will not create a hardship with these requirements being met.
The foregoing resolution wa.s adopted by the-Planning Commission at a regular
meeting held ~n the 13th day of March, 19611 by the following vote:
AYES: Comm.. Locken, Hales, Black, Fredricks, Johnson, Noble and
Chairlllan Viault.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
