A RESOLUTION OF THE .PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA
BEACH DENTING-A ZONE AMENDMENT UPON CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED
ON MANHATTAN AVENUE IN THE CITY OF HFBMOSA B.EAOH, CALIFORNIA
THE PLANNING COMMISSION of the. City of Hermosa Beach does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, there was filed with this Commission, under the provisions of
Ordinance N. s. 154, application for zone rumndm.ent by Herbert E. Slf.i.tzer
affecting property located on Manhattan Avenue be'tween 27th .Street and
28th Place; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach did on
March 13, 1961, conduct a duly advertised public hearing to consider this
application to permit rezoning from R-3 to ~l that property described as
follows: •
Lots 13 and 15, Block 108, Shakespeare Tract;
NOW., THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, in view of the findings at said
hearing, the Planning Commission does hereby deny this zone amendment
for the reason that the area does not lend itself to commercial development,
even in a C-1 zone, and the traffic patterns are already overcrowded in
relation to the acce_ssible streets.
The fore going res.olution was adopted b,y the Planning Commission at a
regular meeting held. on March 13, 1961, by the following vote:
