Noncorming March 13, 1961 Side and Front Yards Date: RESOLUTION Po Co NO. 154-318 A RF.SOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH GRANTING A ZONE VARIANCE UPON CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE STRAND IN THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, there was filed with this Commission, under the provisions of Ordinance No. N. s. 154, application for zone variance by Roy M. Roberts upon property owned by the applicant and located at 1734 Strand i and WHEREAS,· THE Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach did on March 13, 1961, conduct a public hearing to consider tlus application to permit over 3o% addition at 1734 Strand maintaining the nonconforming 3'6" front setback in lieu of required 5'; existing structure having southerly sideyard of 2'1" in lieu of required 3'; addition to have 3r southerly sideyard, on that property described as follows: . Lot 6, Block 18, Hermo.sa Beach Tract; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, in view of the findings at said hearing, the Planning Commission does hereby grant this zone variance for the reasons that it will upgrade the property to improve it and will be an advantage to the surrounding propertyto have this improvementi the property is presently zoned R-3, and this use is not in any violation in any way of this zoning. The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Planning Commission at a regular meeting held on the 13th day of March, 1961, by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Comm. L.ocken, Hales, Bl<1:ck, Fredricks, Johnson, Noble and Chairman Viaul t. None. None.
