A RESOLUTION OF THE PlANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
HmMOSA BEACH (}RANTING A ZONE VARIANCE UPON CERTAIN PROPERTY
LOCATED ON HERMOSA AVENUE IN THE CITY OF HmMOSA BEACH_, CALIFORNIA
THE PLANNING COMMISSIONOF THE dITY OF IIERM)SA BEACH does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, there was filed with this Commission, under the provisions of
Ordinance N. S. 154, application for zone variance by Lorna L., Haas upon
property ownedc&-the applicant and located at 2621 Hermosa Avenue; and
'WHEREAS, the .Planning Commission of the City of Herlllosa Beach did on
June 12, 19(,il, conduct a public hearing to consider this application to permit
c.bastruction,of a single residence of approximately 1500 square feet on the
Strand sid~,~ leaving the existing building on the Hermosa Avenue side to act
as a noise buffer, to be used for storage only; the existing garage being sub,,,.
standard, ~asuring approximately gr in width by 16t in depth., zoned R;;,J., on
tlfat property described as follows:
Lot 4, Block 27, Hermosa Beach Tract;
Bow, therefore, be it resolved that, in view of the findings at said hearing,
the Planning Commission. does hereby grant this zone variance, allowing the
existing building on the Hermosa Avenue side to remain, provided that the
existing substandard garage be made conforming, witt/the further proviso that
all the .existing plUl!lbing be remvved from. the old structure and that the
windows be closed as required by the City Building Department, and with the
proviso that the existing old stru.cture be used for storage only.
The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Planning CODIBlission at a regular
meeting held on the 12th day of June, 1961, by the following vote:
