NO. 154-333 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITYOF HERMOSA BEACH GR.ANTING A ZOOE VARIANCE UPON OlRTAIN PROPER.TY LOCATED ON EIGHTH PUCE IN THE CITY OF HERMOSA BE.ACH, CALIFORNIA THE PLANNING COOITSSIO~F THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH does resolve as follows: WHEREAS., there was filed with this Commission., under theprovisions of ordinance N. s. 154J application for zone variance by Laurence E. Peterson u~on property owned by the applicant and located at 1021...ath Place; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Henoosa Beach did on August 14, 1961., conduct a public hearing to consider th.Ls application to permit over 30% addition to existing structure, which has a nonconforming 3' sideyard in lieu of 5' and an 8' front setback in lieu of 10', the new garage to have a 41 sideyard in· lieu of required 5', in line with existing portico which has a 4' sideyard, on that property described as follows: Lot 62, Tract No. 8386; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, in view of the findings at said hearing, the Planning Commission does hereby grant this zone variance for the reason that the structure is in apparent conformity 'Wi. th the neighborhood as far as the setback is concerned; the owner should not be penalized and not al.lowed to remodel his home; this would not be a detriment to the surrounding neighbor hood. The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Planning Commission at a regular meeting held on the 14th day of August, 1961, by the following vote: .AYES: NOE&t ABSENT: Conun.
