A RESOLUTION OFTHE Pl,ANNING COMMISSION OFTHE CITY OF HERMOSA
BEACH GRANTING A ZONE VARIANCE UPON CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ON
FOURTH STREET IN THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, there was filed with this Commission,under the provisions of
Ordinance N. s. 154, application for zone variance by Mae Giuliani upon
propertJ(owned by the applicant and located at 2og...4th Street; and
WHEREAS> the Planning Co.nmd.ssion of t he City of Hermosa Beach did on
September 11, 1961, conduct a public hearing t o consider this application t o
permit construction of a double garage , to be added on the east side of
existing residence, comprising over 30%-floor area, existing h ouse having
no front setback in lieu of required 2 ', and a portion of house encr oaching
to north property line in lieu of 3' s ideyard, garage addition tjconform, on
that property described as follows:
West 47' of lot 1, Tract No. 1074;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, in view of the findings at said hearing,
the Ph.nni.ng Commission does hereby grant this zone variance for the reason

not allowed on said property, and it is the feeling of the Commission that the
addition of a conforming garage to an existing nonconformity of this nature would
not be detrimental to the neighborhood.
The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Planning Commission at a regular
meeting held on the 11th day of September, 1961, by the following vote:
