A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING-COMMISSION OF THE. CITY OF HmMOSA
BEACH RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL CERTAIN ACTION RID-AR.DING
AN .APPLICATION FOR ZONE V.ARIANCfAFFECTING PROPERTY LOCATED ON
SECOND STREET IN THE CITY OF HmMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH does resolve as follows :
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission d.id, on September 11, 1961, at a duly
advertised hearing, adapt Resolution No. P. C. 154.-339, denying the application
for zone variance of Stanford R. and Jean E. Stiles to ex--cend the front of
house 6' x 17' 6" in order to enlarge the existing li vingroom. and add a fire-
place, wtth no garage facilities on th~roperty described as follows:
708-2nd Street, Lot 100, Walter Ransom Company's
Venable Place; and
WHEREAS, reconsideration Qf this_ application has be~n requested by the City
Council of the City of Hermosa Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, in view of the findings during review
of this action, it is the recommendation Qf the Planning Commission that the
applicants be granted this variance, with a stipulation that a deed restriction
on Lots 100 and 115, Walter Ransom Company's Venable Place, be drawn up and
recorded by the owners to the effect that if either lot is deeded or sold by
the pre_s_ent owners, a garage w.i.11 be built on Lot 100, for the reason that the
Commission does not believe any lot should be permitted to be sold off that
does not contain garage facilities for an existing house on the property.
The foregoingmsolution was adopted by the Plannin~ Commission at a regular
meeting held on November 13, 1961, by the follow.ing vote:
