RESOLUTION P. C. 154-350
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH
GRANTING A ZONE VARIANCE UPON CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ON 8TH STREET
IN THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CAJ..IFORNIA
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, there was f i led with this Commisston, under t he provisions of
Ordinance N. S. 154, application f or zone variance by Edgar C. Miller upon
property owned by the appli cant and located at 1136-Sth Street; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach did on
December 11, 1961, conduct a public hear ing to consider this application
t o extend the garage 6' forward having a 4' easterly sideyard in l i eu of
required 5'; add bedr oom and bath on east side of residence, bathroom wall
now existing, bedroom to have 11'-long~sideyard line w.ith 4' setback in
lieu of required 5t, maintaining nonconforming 4' ~asterly sideyard of
existing buil ding, on that property described as follows:
Lots 62 and 63, Block 140,
Redondo Villa Tract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, in view of the findings at said hearing,
the Planning Commission does hereby grant this zone vari ance for the reasons
that the nominal. projection to the front of the existing structure is still
setback 251 and would not be objectionable-to the neighborhood, and the 4'
sideyar:d is adequate for ingress and egress of emergency equi pment, ti:gltting
.f'i!:.eS-~.f,t9. ,-and would not be detrimental to the general overall planning of
Hermosa Beach.
The foregoing resolution was adopt ed by the Planning COlillllission at a regular
meeting held on the 11th day of December, 1961, by the following vote:
