A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA
BEACH GRANTING A ZONE VARIANCE UPON CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED
ON THE STRAND IN THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, .there was filed with this Commission, under the provisions of
Ordinance N. s. 154, application for zone variance by Jack and Bette J. Wise
on property owned by the applicants and located at 2210 Strand; and
WHEREAS, THE Planning Conmri.ssion of the City of Hermosa Beach did on
April 9, 1962, conduct a duly advertised public hearing to consider this
application to permit a fence on the north property line to be 71211 high in
lieu of maximum height allowable of 61; south side gate and fence extending
from hou.se to property line to be 7' high in lieu of 6' , _on that property
described as follows:
Lot 2, Block 23 , Hermosa Beach Tr act ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, in view of the findings at said hearing,
the Planning Connnission does hereby grant this zone variance for the reasons
that this adjustment will assist in a small way to control the juvenile and
adult delinquent situation, it does not distract from the neighborhood and
imposes no hardship on any of the neighbors.
The foregoing resolution was adopted·by the Planning Commission at a regular
meefing held on the 9th day of April, 1962, by the following vote:

Connn. Viault • For the record, I do not believe the delinquency problem is a
valid reason, but I still believe it is no hardship to grant it.
