.,·. A RESOWTION OF THE PLANNING C0!-1MISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA
BEACH GRANTING A ZONE VARIANCE UPON CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED
ON 28TH STREET IN THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFCRNIA
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS , there was filed with this Commission, under the provisions of
0Pslinance N. S. 154, application for. zone variance by Gardner W. and
Enriqueta L. Goodson on property owned by the applicants and located at
317-28th Street; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Co1mnission of the City of Hermosa Beach did on
May 14, 1962, conduct a duly advertised public hearing to consider this
application to permit a three foot setback in lieu of required five foot
front setback for proposed single-family residence, on that property
described as follows:
Lot 25, Block 114, Shakespeare Tract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, in view of the findings at said hearing,
the Planning Copssion does hereby grant this zone variance for a three
foot f ront setback, but in no case any farther forward than the two existing
residences on either side of subject property, for the reasonsthat it is
apparent by the measurements existing that the f r ont setback on the map on
file in the City of Hermosa Beach was established by determining the property
line to ba approximately the sidewalk line; and that the p~bposeg de:velupment
in line with the existing structures is not a detriment to the adjacent
properties, and the use asked for is a use presently granted to the adjacent
prope.-ty owners.
The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Planning Cmmnission at
meeting held on the 14th day of May, 1962, by the following vote:
