A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA
BEACH GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PEIOO:T UPON CERTAIN PROPERTY
LOCATED ON THIRD STREET IN THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OFTHE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH does resolve as follows: . ~ . ~~
WHEREASJ there was filed wi th this Commission, under the provisions of
Ordinance N. S. 154, application for conditional use permit by the Assembly
of God Taber nacle on property owned by the applicant and located at
737-3rd Street; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach did on
May 14, 1962, co;nduct a duly advertised public hearing to consider this
application to1.ncrease the assembly area within the building from 240 seats
to 288 seats, enlarge the stage, and move the foyer to an existing front
porch, on -that property described as follows:
Lots 56 , 57 and the southwest 20 ' of Lots 26, 27 and 28,
Walter Ransom Company's Venable Place; •
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVE]) that, in view of the findings at said hearing,
the Planning Commission does hereby grant this conditional use permit,
waiving any additional parking requirement, for the reason that the existing
facilities of the city-owned parking lot within the inunediate proximity of
the t abernacle and the facilities provided by the tabernacle are such that
it would be a hardship upon the tabernacl«,'if they were not granted this
permit.
The f oregoing resolution was adopted by the Planning Connnission at a regular
meeting held on the 14th day of May, 1962, by the following vote:
