A RESOLUTION OF THEtLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH
RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL CERTAIN .ACTION RIDARDING,PARl\iING
REQUIREMENTS FOR OFFICE BUILDING TO BE LOCATED ON Pil!R AVENUE IN THE
CITY OF HElu\fOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH does resolve as follows:
WHFlIBAS, the Planning Commission did., on June 11, 1962, consider proposed
parking consisting of six stalls, three accessible and three nonaccessible,
for an office building of approrlmately-1500 square feet gross floor area,
at 1050 Pier Avenue, Lot 2, Tract 5826, and did determine this proposed
parking not acceptable; and
WHEREAS, reconsideration, in view of the fact that the land is difficult to
build on and the applicants have reserved 50% of the land for parking, has
been requested by the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, in view of the findings during review of
this action, it is the recommendation of the Planning Cononission that this
proposed parking plan be deniedJ for the reason that a motion to approve this
plan failed to carry • •
The fneegoi.ng resolution was adopted by the Plannint Commission at a regular
meeting held on July 91 1962, by the following vote:

Comm. Noble, Viault, Black, Locken, Hamilton and ChaLrmai1 Hales.
Connn. Johnson.
None.
Connn. Noble - I feel the unit density is too great for the size of land in
question.
Comm. Viault -It is not impossible to provide additional parking with a better
and more comprehensive plan than is presently presented.
Collllll. Locken - I concur with Mr. Viault.

by the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach at a regular meeting
