A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITYUOF HERMOSA
BEACH RECOMMENDING THE ADOPTION OF A PRECISE PLAN FOR THE DESIGN
OF A COMMERCIAL BUILDING, AND THE AMENDING OF ZONING MAP OF
ARTICLE 3, SECTION 302, OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE, ON THE. PROPffl.TY
LOCATED AT 950 ARTESIA BOULEVARD, IN THE CITY OF .HERMOSA BEACH,
CALIFORNIA
THE PI.ANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, there was filed with this Commission, under the provisions of
Ordinance N. s. 154, application for zone amendment from R-1 {C potential)
to C-3 and adoption of Precise Plan for conunercial development by
William D. Sachau of that property located at 950 Artesia Boulevard,
Lot 6, except the westerly one acre, and except the northerly 80', Block 83,
Second Addition to Hermosa Beach; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach did on
June 11 and July 9, 1962, conduct a duly advertised public hear~ng to
consider this application:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission recommend to the
City Council the adoption of said Precise Plan and the amending of the
Zoning Map as set forth herein, subject to the following conditions:
That in developing the property as submitted on the Precise Plan, there shall
be recorded with the County Recorder a joint agreement among the owners of
the subject property, the-Lucky Market property, and the Pierce property,
their heirs and assignees, that the property is to be used-as per the Precise
Plan approved, as long as the Precise Plan remain in force, said agreement
being first approved by the City Attorney of the City of Hermosa Beach; and
further, that if this agree~ent cannot be obtained, c~3 zoning will still
be granted this subject property when an adequate precise plan, showing a
mininrum of one stall for every loo square feet floor area, is presented to
the Planning Commission for review;
for the reason that the c-potential zoning as far back as 1956 indicated the
Commission's desire to have connnercial use of this property, and the Precise
Plan, as shown, appears adequate for ingress, egress and total required
parking spaces, as long as there is joint usage of the parking area.
The foregoing resolution was-adopted by the Planning Commission at a regular
meeting held on July 9, 1962, by the following vote~
