C. 154--388 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF IIEm!OSA BEACH AMENDING RESOLUTION P 11 C. -154-366 PROVIDING FOR R-4 ffiGH,,.R.ISE, HIGH- DENSITY RESIDJf.NTIAL AND LIMITED COMMERCIAL -• • • THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF H]Rit:0sA BEA.CH OOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, under the provision s of Ordinance N. S. 154, Secrion.1501; the Planning Commission di d, at a regular meeting held on Julylii, 1962~ conduct a public hearing to consider amendments t o Resolution P. C. 154-366, adopted April 2, 1962, and providing for an R-4 z one by the addition of Article 7 .s to Zoning Ordinance N. s. 154; and WHFREAS, in view of the findings during said hearing, it is t he opinion· of the Pl anning Conunj!ssion that amendment of Resolution P. C. 154-366 is in order, to-wit: SECTION 751 .... E .. Add the following sentence: "The minimum apartment size shall exclude all public· or private balconies, public stairways, utility rooms, halls and foyers." SECTION 751-F -Delete Paragraph ( 4) and substitute the following: "( 4) Visitor parking shall be requ:fred at a ratio of one. (1) space per ten (10) dwelling uni.ts, and may be open parking space, subject to Ordinance N. S. 154, Sec ti on 1113. n SECTION 751-G ... Delete the last sentence of Paragraph (1), "Front of lot • nmst face on a street sixty (60) feet or more in width." SECTION 751 ~ Add the following : "L. Abutting Streets. (1) The property should abut at least one dedicated street sixty (60) feet in width , paved to ~ width of not less than forty (40) feet; and front upon a dedicated street of not less than forty (40) feet with thirty (30) feet paved. (2) The interpretation of this right-of-way applies to that right-of-way over which the developer has control. However, in determining whether t o grant the conditional use permit, the Commission would have to consider from the point of origin to a major street or major artery capable of handling the volume of traffic which the development may generate." SECTION 752-iF ..., Change the wording in the first line to read: 11The • Planning Con:mi.ssion may require of the applicant in the granti ng of a conditional ••.•. n SECT"ION 753 -Delete tta four-fifths ( 4/5)vote11 from the last sentence of the first paragraph, and substitute the following: "two--thirds ( 2/ 3) or more affirm.a ti ve votes". Resolution P. c. 154-388 2 NOW., THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission recommend to the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach the amendments as set forth herein, and that the City Council,in adopting the ordinance adding Article 7.5 to Zoning Ordinance N. S. 154, provide that any future amendments to Article 7.5 be made in the manner prescribed by Article 15 of Ordinance N. S. 154. FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the City Council for its attention in the manner prescribed by law. The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Planning Commission at·an adjourned meeting held on Monday, July 16, 1962, by the following vote: AYES:Z NOES: ABSENT: Comm. Noble, Johnson, Viault, Black, Locken, Hamilton and Chairman Hales. None. None.
