RESOLUTION P. C. 154-390
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA
BEACH RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL CERTAIN ACTION REGARDING
PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR 26-UNIT APARTMENT BUILDING TO BE LOCATED
ON PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY IN THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH does resolve as
follows:
WHEREAS, the Planning C0rnmission did, on J'uly 9, 1962, eonsider
the turning radius for proposed 26-unit apartment house at 1731 Pacific
Coast Highway, the southerly 641 of Lot l o, Block 81, Second Addition
to Hermosa Beach, for Lone Pine Investments, and did establish the
required turning radius at 25' for a standard 20 1 depth garage for
subterranean parking with a 90° turn; and
WHEREAS, reconsideration, in view of applicant's proposal to undertake
a clear span type c~nstruction with no obstructions, has been requested
by the City Council of the City of Hermosa Beach, such review being
made at a regular meeting on August 13, 1962;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, in view of the findings during
review of this action, it is the recommendation of the Planning
Commission that the request of Lone Pine Investments for a 23 1 turning
radius with 201 deeptstalls, giving an overall 63' span, be approved,
subject to the requirement that it be a clear span construction with
no obstructions in the parking space.
The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Planning Commission at a
regular meeting held on August 13, 1962, by the following vote:

-Quite possible for him to provide adequate parking
merely by reducing the number of units.
-Will vote yes as long as they are going to higher type
construction and bringing more and better people into
Hermosa Beach.
