C. 154-398 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH RECOMMENDING THE AMENDMENT OF ZONING ORDINANCE N. S. 154 THE pl.ANNING COMMISSION 0£ the City of Hermosa Beach does resolve as t al lows: WHEREAS under the prov:a....s:i.ons o:r Ordinance N. s. 154, Section 1501, the Plannin~ Commission did, on July 9, 1962, adopt Resolution of Intenti on p. c. 154-382, to consider amendment of the Zoning Ordinance N. s. 154; and WHERE.AS the Planning C onnnissi on did, on August 13 and October 8, 1Y62, conduct' a duly advertised public hearing to consider amending said ordinance; NOW . TIIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, in view of the findings at said hearing the" Planning Commission recommend to the City Council of the Ci ty of Hermosa' Beach amendment o:t' Ordinance N. S. 154, as :follows: ARTICIE 6 .. Add the following: 1tSECT1lON 60 8 : LOT AREA PER DWELLING. The minimum l ot area per dwe1ling unit shall be not less than nine hundred square feet. tt ARTICLE 7. Add the following: "SECTION 708: LOT .ARE! PER DWELUNG. The nuru..mum lot area per dwelling unit shall be not less than nine hundred square feet." For the reasons that it is desirable to control the living units per lot area as it is felt that this will also help to control the parking problem which i ~ becoming unmanageable, and will bring about a variety of ~partments, two and three bedrooms, rather than all one bedrooms; the R-2 area contains a lot-area- per-dwelling-uni t req_ui:e~ent, and it is the feel ing of the Planning Commission due to the possible addition o:t· an R-4 zone, also requiring a l ot-area-per-- dwelling unit, that our ordinance should be brought i nto cont·ormity_, and that all the zones have a lot-area,.-oper,-•~hrelling-unit req_w.rement. FIN;\LLY RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be transnu.tted to the City c ouncil for its attention in the inazmer prescribed by law. The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Planning Commission at a regular meeting held October 8, 1962, by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Comm •.
