A. RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH
GRANTING A ZONE VARIANCE UPON CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ON 28TH STREET
IN THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH does resolve as f ollows:
WHEREAS there was filed with this Commission, under the provisions of
Ordinan~e N. s. 1 54, application J:'or zone variance by Hubert w. Jordan on
property owned by the applicant and located at 134-28th Street; and
WHEREAS, the Pl anning Commi. ~sion. of t he Ci~ of Hermos~ Beach did on October 8,
1962, conduct a duly advertised pu~lic ~ear11:1-g to consider this application to
permit construction of a secon~ ~t which_ will c~nf'orm to the ordinance require-
ments to be attached to an existlllg dwelling having a 2'6" east sideyard in lieu
of th; r eq_uired 3t, and to exceed 40% of the existing square footage on that
property described as t·ollows: '
Lot 12, Block 108, Shakespeare Tract;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, in view of the findings at s aid hearing
the,Planning commission does hereby grant this zone variance, provided that fhe
new structure conform to the zoning requirements for sideyard and front yard
and attachment to the eristing structure, for the reasons that the exist i ng
structure could not ~e requir~d. to he improved, the new structure would conform,.
and therefore ther e 1.s no add1. t i onal hazard to safety or fire protection and
it would be in keeJ)ing with the development of the adjacent neighborhood:
The foregoing r e solution was adopted by the Planning Commission at a r egular
meeting held on t~e 8th day of October, 1962, by the following vote:

Conun. Black, Hamilton, Johnson, Miller, Viault and Chairman Hales.
None.
ABSENT: Comm. Noble.
