Location: 1101 Pier Avenue Adoption of New Precise December 10, 1~62 To Pennit: Plan Date: RESOLUTION P. c. 154-409 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH RECOMMENDING ADOPTION OF NEW :PRECISE PLAN UPON CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED BETWEEN PROSPECT AVENUE AND THE EASTERLY BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA THE PLANNING COMMISSION of the City of Hermosa Beach does resolve as follows: WHEREAS, there was filed with this Commission, under the provisions 01· Ordinance N. s. 154, application to have Precise Plans Nos. 3 and S, adopted by Ordinances N. S. 164 and 184, respectively, amended by substituting therefor Precise Plan No. 14 for the development of a shopping center in conjunction with a Boy's Market to be located in Redondo Beach adjacent to subject property, said property being located on the north side of Pier Avenue between Prospect-Avenue and the easterly boundary of the City of Hermosa Beach, Boy1s:Market, Inc., applicant; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach did on December 10, 1962, conduct a duly advertised public hearing to consider this application affecting the following described property! Parcel 1: That portion of Lot 7, Block 88, Second Addition to Hermosa Beach, beginnin8 at a point in the northeasterly line of said Lot 7, distant thereon South 28 45' East 208.SO feet from the northeast corner of said lot; thence South 61° 151 West 100 feet; thence parallel with the northeasterly line of said lot South 28° 45' East to the southeasterly line of said Lot 7; thence along said southeasterly line North 47° 47' East to ~he most easterly corner of said lot; thence North 28° 45' West 231.88 feet to the point of beginning. Parcel 2:_ That portion of Lot 7, Block 88, Second Addition to Hermosa Beach, be8inning at a point in the northeasterly line of said Lot 7 distant thereon South 28 451 East 208.50 feet from the northeast corner of said lot; thence South 61° 15' West 100 feet to the true point of beginning; thence continuing South 61° 151 West to the westerly line of said Lot 7; thence southerly along said westerly line to the southwest corner of said lot; thence along the southeasterly line of said lot North 47° 47' East to a line that is pprallel with the northeasterly line of said Lot 7 and that passes through the true point of beginning; thence North 28° 451 West to the true point of beginning. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, in view of the t'indings at said hearing, the Planning Commission.does hereby grant this application to adopt new precise plan for a shopping center as submitted, for the reasons that the precise plan shows the parking standard of greater capacity than that which has been proposed and recommended in Hermosa Beach, and the accesses to the parking are adequate with necessary safeguards for the neighboring residential property. The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Planning Commission at a regular meeting held on December 10, 1962, by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Comm. Black, Hamilton, Johnson, Noble, Viault and Chairman Hales. None. None.
