Meeting called to order at 7: 33 P .M. by Cornn. Cutler Pledge of Allegiance led by Cornn. Cutler ROIL CALL PRESENT: Corrms . Cutler, Ebey, Toth, Williams ABSENT: Chlm. Moore ALSO PRESENT: Laurie Duke, Staff Llaison Chim. Moore had an excused absence. Comn. Cutler was appointed Acting Chainnan. Corrm. Williams was appointed Acting Secretary. APPROVAL OF MINUI'ES Motion by Chmn. Cutler, seconded by Conm. Toth, to approve the September 20, 1982 minutes with the following addition: Page 2 , Para. 14, add, ''. . . In order to be open space , it would have to be a dimension of ten (10) feet." No objections. So ordered. APPROVAL OF RESOLUfIONS Motion by Conm. Toth, seconded by Cornn. Williams, to approve Resolutions B.Z.A. 154-467, 154-468, 154-470, 154-472, 154-485, and 154-478. No.objections. So ordered. CONSENT CALENDAR None VARIANCE BZA 154...;483 -675 Longfellow Avenue (cont. from 09/20/82 meeting) Applicant: Jol'mn Miller Mrs. Duke requested that this it~ be continued to the October 18, 1982 ~eting due to the fact that a full Board IlllJSt be present to hear this item. Motion by Comn. Toth, seconded by Comn. Ebey, to postpone Variance Request BZA 154-482 to the October 18, 1982 rreeting. No objections. So ordered. BJARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENI'S MINUTES -October 4, 1982 Page 2 VARIANCE BZA 154-484 -1120 Lorna Drive Applicant: Rob Saemann Conm. Toth asked if there ~re a reason why the existing garage had to stay so close to the property line. Mrs. Duke replied that the applicant is not extending the deck any further above that portion of the garage. Cornn. Toth stated that he would postpone this item, due to the fact that he had questions of the applicant who was not present at the meeting. Motion by Conm. Toth, seconded by Cornn. Williams, to postpone Variance Request BZA 154-484. No objections. So ordered. REVIEWS None MISCELLANEOUS Mrs. Duke stated that she submitted a merro to the City Council reqvesting that the Board of Zoning Adjusorents be limited to a five-IIE1IDer &:lard. The Council approved a five-rrerrber Board and directed Mrs. Duke to draw up an ordinance to change the Code to indicate a five-member Board; however, the Council was undecided on a provision to appoint an alternate. Conm. Williams stated that she spoke with the Mayor concerning the enforcenent of screens on windows, where applicable, in He:rrnosa Beach, She stated that the Mayor personally felt that window screens should be enforced; however, she could not speak for the entire Council. Motion to adjourn at 7: 53 P .M.
