on Monday, April 15, 1968.

JAMES WALKER -ZONE VARIANCE
Public heari ng of zone variance application by Jame s Walker, t o erec t a second
story addi t ion to an existing singl e family residence. Addi tion to have same
front setback of four ft. as the exi sti ng str ucture i n lie u of t he required
five feet, on property at 3022 I ngleside Oriv e; lot 2 and wes t erly 15 ft.
of lot 4, block 139, Shakespeare tract.
Mr. Walker, and Mr. Tieford, the con t ractor, were present. Mr. Tieford spoke
in be half o f the applica nt and answered the ques tion s of the Commission.
There was no o ne pre s ent t0 speak for o r against the application, other than
the aforementioned.
After thorough review of the plans for the propose d addition, a nd study of
the sur round ing area, mG tion was made by Comm. Noble, seconded by Comm. Stabl e r,
to grant the va riance, Motion carried by the following vote:

Motion was then made by Comm. Noble, seco nded by Comm. Boice, to adopt P.C.
Resol ut ion 154-655, grant in g the variance for t he reasons that the existing
stru«:tture is set back f rom the f ront property line, at present, as far as
the majority of the hou se s within the same block . The add i tion of a seco nd
floor with the same setback -will in no·,,JWa y be detr ime n ta l to t he immediate
area. The a ddit ion would b e an upgrading and enhancement of th e present s tructure.
