HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Resolution 154-606Name: Location: Dudley Jacobs 702 Strand To Permit: Addition to non-conforming building Date: April 10, 1967 RESOLUTION P.C. 154-606 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH GRANTING A ZONE VARIANCE UPON CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE STRAND IN THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH does resolve as follows: WHEREAS, there was filed with this Commission under the provisions of Ordinance N.S. 154, application for zone variance by Dudley Jacobs on that property owned by the applicant, and located at 702 Strand; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach did on Apri I 10, 1967, conduct a duly advertised public hearing to consider this application to permit addition to an existing nonconforming building having three units in lieu of required maximum two units; extend lower floor to front property line two ft. on south and 4 ft. on north side, maintaining same nonconforming sideyards of 2 1 6 11 on north side and on property line of south side, approximately 81 sq. ft. addition, in lieu of required 3 ft. sideyards; having nonconforming garages with approximately 7 ft. wide doors in 1 ieu of required 8 ft. and inside width of 23 ft. in lieu of required 25.5 ft, on that property described as follows: Lot l, Block 8, Hermosa Beach tract NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that in view of the findings at said hearing, the Planning Commission does hereby grant this zone variance because it has been deemed that this request is not detrimental to the neighborhood and wi 11 not affect the health or safety of any of the surrounding neighbors, and it appears not to be in conflict with our General Plan, and that it be granted with the provision that the extension on the west property line is not extended any further than that of the existing extension of the second story. The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Planning Commission at a regular meeting held on the 10th day of Apri 1, 1967, by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Comm.
