A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH
GRANTING A ZONE VARIANCE UPON CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE STRAND
IN THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, there was filed with this Commission under the provisions of Ordinance
N.S. 154, application for zone variance by Eleanor and Sherman Phinny, on that
property owned by the applicants and located at 3411 Strand; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach did on April
JO, 1967, conduct a duly advertised pub] ic hearing to consider this application
to permit addition to an existing nonconforming bui ]ding and nonconforming
use, 435 sq. ft., having existing two units in lieu of the required maximum
of one unit, on that property described as follows:
Lot l, Dale Tract
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that in view of the findings at said hearing,
the Planning Commission does hereby grant this zone variance because it has
been determined that:
I. No exterior change would be made that would affect the neighbors or
change sideyards or setbacks.
2. The plan as proposed will be an architecturally visual improvement to the
neighborhood.
3. The improvements wi 11 meet architectural standards of the immediate
neighborhood.
4. Present use of the land will be in keeping and wi II not affect the
General Plan.
The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Planning Commission at a regular
meeting held on the 10th day of April, 1967, by the following vote:

CERTIFICATION
