A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH
DENYING A ZONE VARIANCE UPON CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ON BARO STREET
IN THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA
THE PLANNING COMMISSION of the City of Hermosa Beach does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, there was filed with this Commission, under the provisions of Ordinance
N.S. 154, application for zone variance by Bruce H. and Pauline 0. Gobel, upon
property owned by the applicants and located at 838, 844, 846 Bard Street; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach, did, on April 10,
1967, conduct a duly advertised pub\ ic hearing tocconsider this application to
allow continued use of three duplexes in lieu of three single family residences;
(single residences originally constructed October 1953 and converted to duplexes
after final building imsp~ction, without proper garage facilities, or proper
floor area for converted units, and without building permits) on that property
described as follows:
Lots 2, 3, and 4 Block S, Tract 2002;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, in view of the findings at said hearing,
the Planning Commission does hereby deny this zone variance for the following
reasons:
l. That it would legally permit a substandard sized apartment by minus 74 sq.
ft. in lieu of the required 500 sq. ft,
2. That the proposed additional apartment for each building, lack garage facilities.
The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Planning Commission at a regular
fueeting held on April 10, 1967, by the following vote:
