A RESOLUTION OF INTENT ION OF THE PLANN I NG COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
HERMOSA BEACH, CA LIFORNIA, TO SET A T IME ANO PLACE FOR A PUBL IC HEARING
ON THE PROPOSED REDE VELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT,
BOUNDED BY 10TH STR EET TO THE SO UTH, 14TH STREET TO THE NORTH, MANHATTAN
AVENU E TO THE EAST, AND THE STRAND TO THE WEST
THE PLANNING COMMI SS ION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEAC H does r eso l ve as follo ws:
WHER EAS, the City Council of the City of He r mosa Beach did engage the se r v ice s
of t he Goodkin Grou p Companies to prep a re and de velop a plan for the r evit aliza t ion
of t he centr al bus iness district of the City of Hermo sa Beach; a nd
WHEREAS, th e goal s and obj ectives o f the red evelopment pla n are to encourage
t hose economic pu r suits whi ch wo uld st reng t he n the posit ion of Her mosa Beach
wit hin the Los Angele s me tro po li t an r egi on to make it an attra ctive and
desir able place in th e Sout h Bay area fo r livin g, e njoyin g t he be ach, and
a s a rec reational mecca of high ~e~liJy;a ~dd
WHEREAS, the City Council ha s requ ested t he Planni ng Commi ss i on to st udy an d
revi ew sa id redevelop ment p l a n; and
WHER EAS, the Pl anning Commission has studied and revi ewe d this r e devel o pment
p lan, a nd has set a publ ic hearing on th e plan, din order t hat al I intere sted
pa rties will have ample o ppo rtuni ty to be hea rd the r e on.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVE D that the Planning Comm iss ion doe s i niti ate
ac t ion to cond uc t a public hearing on J u ly 17, 1967, at 8 P.H. in Counc il
Chamber s of Cit y Hall fo r the purpose of consid e r ing th e rede ve l opment
plan for the cen t r al business di str ic t o f th e Ci ty of Hermosa Beac h, Ca li f ornia.
The fo regoing resolution was adopt ed by the Planni ng Commiss ion a t an ragj,6arned
meet ing he l d o n Jun e 5, 1967, by th e fo llowin g vote:
