A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEAC~
RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL, THE ADOPTION OF THE PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT
PLAN FOR THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT, BOUNDED BY 10TH
STREET TO THE SOUTH, 14TH STREET TO THE NORTH, MANHATTAN AVENUE TO THE EAST,
AND THE STRAND TO THE WEST, SAID REDEVELOPMENT Pl.AN TO SERVE AS A MORE PRECISE
GUIDE FOR THE REDEVELOPMENT AND REVITALIZATION OF THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT.
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has studied and reviewed the Redevelopment Plan;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission does concur with the reports and documents of
the Redevelopment Plan pcepared by the Planning Consultants; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the authority of the City of Hermosa Beach, Article 6,
Sections 65350, 65351, 65352, 65353, and 65354 of the Government Code of the
State of California, the Planning Commission directed the proper procedures for
noticing the time and place for the public hearing, approval and endorsements
be carried out as required by law; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach did hold a noticed
public hearing on July 17, 1967; and
WHEREAS, all procedural steps for approval and recommendation of the adoption
of the Redevelopment Plan by the City Council have been followed by the Planning
Commission as required by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the reports and documents entitled 11C i ty of
Hermosa Beach Central Business District Study11 , for the redevelopment of said
district, is hereby approved and recommended for adoption by the City Council
of Hermosa Beach as the Redevelopment Plan for the Central Business District; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said Redevelopment Plan shall serve as a guide for
the goals and objectives for the redevelopment of the central business district
and to encourage those economic pursuits which would strengthen the position
of Hermosa Beach within the Los Angeles metropolitan region to make it an
attractive and desirable place in the south Bay area for living, enjoying the
beach and as a recreational mecca of high quality.
The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Planning Commission at an adjourned
meeting held July 17, 1967, by the following vote:
