P.C. 154-620 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH DENYING A ZONE VARIANCE UPON CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ON THIRTY-FOURTH STREET IN THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA. The PLANNING COMMISSION of th e City of Hermosa Beach, does re solve a s follow s : WHEREAS, there wa s filed with th i s Commission, under the prov isions of Ordinanc e N.S. 154, applica tio n for zone vari anc e by Ro bert and Sally Gilson upon proper t y owned by the appli ca nts and l oc a t ed at 140 34th Street; and WHEREAS, the Pl anni ng Commis s ion of the Ci ty of Hermosa Beach, did on August 14, 1967, con duc t a duly ad ver t ised public hearing to con s ider this applicati on to permit construct io n o f an addition o f over 40% to an existing s ingle fam ily resid ence, (additi on appr ox imatel y 850 sq uare feet), having nonconfor mi ng s ide­ yard of 2 ft. 6 inc hes, in lieu of 3 ft. required, having 14,5 ft. turning radius in lieu of required 20 ft. New cons truc tion to meet all zoning requirement s, on that property des cribe d as foll ows : Lot 12 , Block 102, Shakespe are tra c t NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED t hat, in v iew of the findings a t said hearing, t he Planning Commission doe s hereby deny this .zone vari an ce for th e reason t hat it is nonc onfor ming to present zoning regulation s, and no att empt has been ma de to c orrect the tu rning rad iu s problem, and the pr ecedent tha t would be set by con t inuing an older struct ure would perp etuat e a problem t hat already exists for another period of ti me. The for egoing resolution wa s adopted by the Planning Commission at a reg ular mee ting held on August 14, 1967, by the fo l low in g vote: AYE S : NOES : PASS; ABSENT: Comm .
