HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Resolution 154-623Name: Location: To Permit: Date: Orville Gertsch 1125 9th Street Zone Variance encroachment of addition into setback September 18, 1967 RESOLUTION P.C. 1,4-623 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH GRANTING A ZONE VARIANCE UPON CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ON NINTH STREET IN THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA THE PLANNING COMMISS10N OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH Does resolve as follows: WHEREAS, there was filed with this Commission under the provisions of Ordinance N.S. 154, application for zone variance by Orville Gertsch on property owned by the applicant, and located at 1125 9th Street; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach did on September 11, 1967, conduct a duly advertised public hearing to consider this application to permit addition of new bedroom to an existing single family residence. New addition to be three ft. from garage in lieu of required six ft. New wall next to garage wall to have no openings and to be one hour construction. Addition already constructed; and WHEREAS, for lack of a quorum the meeting of September 11, 1967 was adjourned to September 18, 19b7; and WHEREAS, Lhe applicant was heard on September 18, 1967 at an adjourned meeting, relative to this zone variance which applies to property le§ally described as: lots 9 and ID, block 144, Redondo Villa tract. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that in view of the findings at said heari~g~ the Planning Commission does hereby grant this zone variance to allow the applicant to maintain this bedroom addition, because it has been determined by the Planning Commission Lhat this request for variance would not be detrimental to the residents of the property nor to the surrounding neighbors. IL has also been d~~ermined that the necessary fire separation has been applied to each ot the strucLures and thaL the total living area requirement has been adhered to. It should be noted, that the viol_ation on this property, occurred after lathing inspection, which directly preceeds final inspection. The violation was discovered by the Bui 1 ding Department at the ti me of final inspection. The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Planning Commission at ani-a<jjourned meeting held on the 18th of September, 1967, by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Comn. Armer, Noble, Boice, Stabler, Hamilton, Chairman Viault Comm.
