A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH
RECOMMENDING CERTAIN ACTION UPON PROPERTY LOCATED ON 34TH STREET IN
THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, there was filed with this Commission, under the provisions of Ordinance
M.S. 154, application for zone variance by Robert and Sally Gilson, on property
owned by the applicants at 140 34th St., lot 12, bl. 102, Shakespeare tract, to
add over 40"/4 to existing single family residence having nonconforming sideyard
of 2 ft. 6 inches, in lieu of 3 ft. required, having 14.5 turning radius in lieu
required 20 ft.; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, did on August 14, 1967, hold public hearing
to consider this re~uest; and
WHEREAS, at said meeting, the Planning Commission did adopt P.C. 154-620
denying the request; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did consider this application, after appeal by the
applicants, at their meeting of September 19, 1967, and referred the application
back to the Commission for further consieeration; and
WHEREAS, as requested by the City Counci 1, the Planning Commission did reconsider
this petition at their regular meeting of October 9, 1967; and
WHEREAS, motion to grant the request was made and motion failed to carry by the
following vote:

NOW, THEREFORE, SE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission does hereby recommend
denial of this request for variance on the grounds that it failed to carry by
the r;quired number of votes.
The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Planning Commission at a regular
meeting of the Commission held on October 9, 1967, by the following vote:
