RESOLUTION NO. 154-628
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH
RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL AMENDMENT OF ZONING ORDINANCE N.S.
154, BY AMENDING THEREIN ARTICLE 9, SECTION 900, PARAGRAPH 23; ARTICLE
10, SECTION 1000, PARAGRAPH 9; ARTICLE 11, SECTION 1105; ARTICLE 13,
SECTION 1308; ALL SECTIONS RELATING TO PUBLIC UTILITY USES OF PROPERTY.
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Ordinance N.S. 154, Section 1501, the Planning
Commission did, on September 11, 1967, adopt Resolution of Intention P.C. 154-
622, to hold a public hearing to consider amending Zoning Ordinance N.S. 154,
by amending therein Article 9, Section 900, paragraph 23, Article 10, Section
1000, paragraph 9; Article 11, Section 1105; Article 13, Section 1308; all
sections relating to public utility uses of property; and
WHEREAS, public hearing was held on October 9, 1967, and it was determined
that temporary interim ordinance N.S. 282, has been in effect for over one year
and no hardship has been brought to bear on the citizens or the utility
companies; and
WHEREAS, this ordinance does tend to extend future protection in areas within
a small community, where there is a possibi 1 ity of abuse without such protective
measures; and
WHEREAS, in view of the findings during said review, it is the opinion of the
Planning Commission that amendment of said ordinance and articles is in order
to-wit:
l. That Article 9, Section 900, paragraph 23, shall be and is hereby deleted.
2. That Article 10, Section 1000, paragraph 9, shall be and is hereby deleted,
and the following substituted therefor:
11 Public Utilities or utilities operated by mutual agencies consisting of
water tanks, storage bui ]dings, water wells, electrical substations, gas
metering stations, telephone exchanges, service yards or electrical
receiving and/or trani~Orming stations, power boosters or conversion
plants, with the necessary bui ]dings, apparatus or appurtenances
incidental thereto,11
3. That Article 11, Section 1105, shall be and is hereby deleted,
4. That Article 13, Section 1308, shall be and is hereby deleted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission recommend to the City
Council of the City of Hermosa Beach, amendment of Ordinance N.S. 154, as set forth.

The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Planning Commission at a regular
meeting held on October 9, 1967, by the following vote:
