A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH
GRANTING A ZONE VARIANCE UPON CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ON n,JENTIETH
STREET IN THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CALIFORNIA
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH does resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, there was filed with this Commission under the provisions of Ordinance
N.S. 154, app\ ication for zone variance by Harry Lee on that property owned by
the applicant and located at 1225 20th Street; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach did on December 11,
1967, conduct a duly advertised public hearing to consider this application to
permit applicant to add on to existing single family residence over 40"/4 of
existing floor area; residence having nonconforming sideyard of 3.98 in 1 ieu
of required 5 feet, on that property legally described as follows:
Lots 133 and 134, Walter Ransom Co 1 s. Redondo Home tract,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that in view of the findings at said hearing,
the Planning Commission does hereby grant this zone variance for the reasons
that it will not be detrimental to surrounding properties; it does not give
the applicant any special advantage not enjoyed by others in the immediate
vicinity; it wi 11 upgrade the general area; there will be no interruption of
light or ventilation for this or surrounding properties, because of the addition;
two garages wi 11 be provided instead of the original one garage.
The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Planning Commission at a regular·
meeting held on December 11, 1967, by the following vote:
