RESOLUTION NO. P.C. 154-634
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA -BEACH
RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL CERTAIN ACTION REGARDING PROPERTY
LOCATED ON HERMOSA AVENUE IN THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH
THE PL.ANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH does resolve as follow s :
WHEREAS, the Planning Comm ission did, on November 13, 1967, at a duly adverti s ed
public hear i ng, adopt Resolution P.C. 154-632 granting a condi t ional us e permit
to Wayne Tezak to serve beer and wine in conjun c tion wi t h a bona fide r es taurant,
and with certai n provisions, on that property des c ribed as follows:
1401 Hermosa Av e ., lots 28 and 29, Block 15, Hermosa Beach trac t ; and
WHEREAS, reconsideration of t h is applic a tion has been requested by the City
Council, after f ormal appeal by the City Counci 1 at a public hearing on
De cember 5 , 1967;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that after reconsidera t ion of the application, it
is th e recomme ndation o f the Commission that said applicant's r e quest for
conditional use permit be grant e d as stated i n the original resolution P.C. 154-
632, for the reaso ns that the Plan ning Commission is ag ai n satisfied, af t er
re v~ewing the facts, tha t the serving of beer and wine is inciden t a l and
supplemeotary to the ser v i ng of foo d on t he premises; and the ap p li c ant ap pears
well quajifi e d; and that it will in no way be detrim e ntal to t he surround i ng
neighbornood; and th at the fa ct s p re se nted by the applica nt, s howing th e greater
ra t io of beer and wine facilities in the neighboring ci t ies of t he Southbay,
indicat e that the granting of this application wou ld still leave Hermosa Beach
with a smaller ratio of be er and wi ne fa c ilities, t han adjacen t cities.
The foregoing resolution wa s adopted by th e Planning Commission at a regular
meeting held o n December ll, 1967, by t he following vote:
