HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Resolution 154-646Name: To Perrni t: Date: Planning Commission Change of rules and regulations Apr i 1 l , 1968 RESOLUTION P.C. 154-646 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH AMENDING THEIR RULES AND REGULATIONS PERTAINING TO QUORUM THE PLANNING COMMISSION of the City of Hermosa Beach does resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at their regular meeting of April 1, 1968, did study and review their rules and regulations pertaining to 11 quorum11 ; and WHEREAS, it was determined that amendment to said rules and regulations was necessary for the benefit of the general public. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, in view of the findings at said meeting, and for the reasons that it is felt this resolution wi 11 help a great deal in expediting some of the requests coming before the Commission, and a simple majority rule would appear to be a sensible approach to the applications being heard, the Planning Commission does hereby change the rules and regulations, amending section "quorum" to read as follows: 11 A majority of the members of the Commission shall constitute a quorum for the conduct of all business, and a majority of members present at any meeting, for which there exists a quorum, shall be sufficient to act. The Commission is composed of seven members, and when seven members are present, four affirmative votes shall constitute the approval of said business. Six members present shal 1 require four affirmative votes. Five members present shall require three affirmative votes. Four members present shall require three affirmative votes .11 The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Planning Commission at a regular meeting held on April l, 1968, by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Comm. Reeves, Noble, Stabler, Hamilton, Vice-Chairman Boice Comm. Armer Chairman Viault Comm.
