A RES OLUT ION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH
GRANTING A ZONE VARI ANCE UPON CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED ON INGLESIDE
DRIVE IN THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH, CAL IFORN IA
THE PLANN ING COMMISSION OF THE CI TY OF HERMOSA BEACH does re s olve as follows:
WHEREAS, ther e was f iled with this Commission under th e provision s of Ordinanc e
N.S. 154, applic a tio n fo r zone va r iance by James Wal ker on that prop er ty owned
by the appli ca nt and locate d at 3022 lngle~ide Drive; and
WHEREAS, the Pl an ning Comm ission of the City of Hermosa Be ach did on Apri I 15,
1968 , conduct a duly advert ised publ ic he ari ng to consider t his applica ti on to
erect a second story addi t ion to an ex isting sin g le family r e sid e nc e. Addition
to ma intai n same front setba ck of four fee t as exis t ing struct ure in lieu of
r e quired fiv e f ee t, on property described as follows :
Lot 2, and westerly 15 ft. of lot 4 , block 139, Shakesp ea re tr act,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED t hat in vi ew of the fi ndings at said hearing, the
P la nn ing Conmission does hereby gra nt t his zone va ria nce f or the following
r ea son s:
Th e exi s ting structure a t prese n t is se t back fr om t he f r ont property 1 ine a s
fa r as t he majority of the hou ses wi t hin the same bloc k. The addition of a
seco nd f loor with the same setb ac k will in no way be detrimental to th e immediate
area. The ad dition would be an upgra d i ng a nd enhancement of the presen t st r ucture.

mee t i ng held on t he 15 th day of April, by the fol l owing vo t e:
