A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH
AMENDING THE RESOLUTION GRANTING ORIGINAL CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT,
TO PERMIT ADDITION OF SECOND STORY TO BUILDING UPON CERTAIN PROPERTY
LOCATED ON PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY IN THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH,
CALIFORNIA
THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA BEACH does r esolv e as follows:
WHEREAS , there was filed with th is Commission under th e provisions of Ordinance
N.S. 154, appli cati on for conditional use permit by St. Michael 1 s Hospital on
t hat prop e rty owned by th e applicant a nd located at 1845 Pacific Coast Highway;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Hermo s a Beach did on May
6, 1968, conduct a duly advertised public hearing to consider this application
to permit applicant to add a second s t ory to an ex isting build i ng, to be
used for office space in c onjunction with hosp i tal. Addi ti on 1440 square
f eet , on that prop e rty des c ribed as follo ws:
lot 18 and 19, block 81, second add. to Hermosa Beach trac t,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED t hat in view of the find i ngs at said hea ring,
th e Planning Comm iss ion does hereby amend the origina l resolution granting
conditional use permit to St. Mich ael's Hospital, to allow this second story
addition for the reasons that the granting of such amendmen t creates better
property use, and is not detrimental to the su rroundin g p roper t ies, and is
g ranie d with the condition tha t the temporary t railer s now bein g used fo r
office space, be removed within six months of th e time building permit is iss ued.
The foregoing re solut ion was adopt ed by the Planning Comm i ssion a t a re gu la r
meeting held on the 6th day of Hay, 1968, by the following vo te:
