A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA
2 BEACH, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT TO LIMIT
DENSITY TO A MAXIMUM OF 35 DWELLING UNITS PER ACRE IN HIGH
3 DENSITY-DESIGNATED AREAS.

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on
March 4, 1986, to consider this matter and made the following

findings:

1. Density is significant problem in the Ctiy;
2. The proposal would significantly decrease residential

density;
The proposal would increase consistency between the General
Plan and Zoning Ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission
14 of the City of Hermosa Beach, California does hereby recommend a
15 General Plan amendment to limit density to a maximum of 35 dwell-
16 ing units per acre in high density-designated areas.

A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA
BEACH, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING DENIAL OF A GENERAL PLAN AMEND
MENT TO LIMIT DENSITY TO 33 DWELLING UNITS PER ACRE IN HIGH DEN
SITY DESIGNATED AREAS.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Hermosa Beach
held a public hearing on March 4, 1986, to consider this matter
and made the following Finding:
1. 33 dwelling units per acre is an arbitrary and unreasonable
density for high density designated areas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission
of the City of Hermosa Beach, California does hereby recommend
denial of a General Plan amendment to limit density to a maximum
fo 33 dwelling units per acre in high density designated areas.
VOTE: AYES: Comms.Peirce,Chmn.Sheldon
NOES: Comm.Compton,Rue
ABSENT: Comm.Schulte
ABSTAIN: None
