HomeMy WebLinkAboutPC Resolution 86-29~ RESOLUTION P.C. 86-29 1 11 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA 2 11BEACH, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING INCREASING THE PARK AND RECRE­ ATION FACILITIES TAX FROM $500 TO $2000. 3 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on 4 11June 3, 1986 and July 1, 1986 and made the following Findings: 5,,A. 6 7 1 I B. 8 9 11 C. 10 11 12 I I D. 13 14 15 The Park and Recreation Facilities Tax has not been increased in 12 years; The City has no available funds for the acquisition of recre­ ation space; The population of Hermosa Beach continues to expand with the construction of new dwelling units and a diminishing ratio of recreational space to residents is a result; To make this tax equal to the in-lieu fee required under the Quimby Act, would be inequitable because of the economic dif­ ferences between construction of apartments and condominiums; 16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission 17 of the City of Hermosa Beach, California recommends to the City 18 Council the following amendment: 19 11 SECTION 1.
