RESOLUTION P.C. 86-37 1 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HERMOSA 2 11 BEACH, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE ATTACHED AMEND- 3 11MENT TO ARTICLE 7.2, CONDOMINIUMS, STOCK COOPERATIVES, AND COM­ MUNITY APARTMENTS. 4 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held public hearings on 5 July 1, 1986, July 15, 1986 and August 5, 1986 to consider this 6 matter and made the following Findings: 7 1. The proposed amendment will eliminate conflict with the 8 Zoning Ordina~ce; 9 2. The proposed amendment will make the Condominium Ordinance 10 supplemental to the various residential zones; 11 3. The proposed amendment will eliminate wordiness and simplify 12 the Ordinance; 13 4. Condominiums are not an acceptable use in the R-1 zone; 14 15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission 16 11 of the City of Hermosa Beach does hereby recommend approval of 17 the fol lowing: 18 111. Sections 9.5-1(1) through 9.5-1(22) and Sections 9.5-2 19 20 21 I I 2. 22 23 11 3. 24 11 4. 25 26 through 9.5-28 of Chapter 9.5, Condominiums, Stock Coopera­ tives, and Community Apartments, shall be deleted. Section 9.5-1(23), pertaining to the definition of condomini­ um conversions, shall be renumbered as Section 9.5-1(1). Sections 9.5-29 through 9.5-63 shall be retained. The Zoning Ordinance shall be amended to include Article 7.2, attached. 27 11 VOTE: AYES: Comms. Compton, Peirce, Schulte, Chmn.
